Yash Hair Saloon

Our shop is at 6/7, Tila Mattamal in the Taj Ganj area of Agra. We’re tucked into Chandra Vaidh Gali, which is right near the Tanga Stand. If you’ve been around this part of Agra, you know it can be a bit crowded and noisy with all the people and the tangas moving about. We’ve been running this saloon for some time and it’s just a simple, local place. Inside, we have our mirrors and a couple of old chairs that are still comfortable enough for a haircut. We don’t go in for any of that fancy marketing talk you see in the bigger cities. We just cut hair and give shaves to the people in the neighborhood. The air in the shop usually smells like talcum powder and shaving cream. On hot days, the ceiling fan hums along while we work. We spend a lot of time cleaning up and making sure the combs are ready for the next person. Sometimes the narrow lane outside gets really busy, but inside it’s just the usual business of hair and talk. We like being near the Tanga Stand because there’s always something to see. We aren’t trying to be anything special, it’s just a place in Taj Ganj where you can get your hair sorted out without a fuss. We close up once it gets late and do it all again the next day. Sometimes the neighbors stop by just to say hello even if they don't need a haircut.
