Shagun Beauty Parlour

If you drive out towards Hathras from Agra, you’ll pass through Khandauli. That’s where Shagun Beauty Parlour is located. We are on Hathras Road in the Ramnagar area. It’s a bit of a distance from the main Agra city, so we serve a lot of the people from the surrounding villages and the local town. The shop is a simple room on the ground floor. I’ve put up some posters on the walls to make it look a bit more like a parlour. Since we are in a more rural district area, the pace is a bit slower here. People don’t always make appointments; they just show up when they have time. I do a lot of basic beauty work, especially for weddings in the village. It can get very crowded when a whole family comes in together. I’ve been here for a few years now. The dust from the road is a bit of a problem, so I’m always dusting the shelves and the mirrors. It’s a very practical business. I don’t use any fancy language or complicated treatments. Just the stuff that works and that people around here are used to. My family lives nearby, so I can go back and forth easily. It’s a good way to make a living while staying close to home. We just take each day as it comes and try to do a good job for the neighbors.
