We do a lot of work related to infrastructure, which means we spend a lot of time looking at maps and talking to contractors. The office is right there on the road, so we get a lot of dust and noise, but that’s just part of being where the action is. We started this because we saw a lot of things being built around us and wanted to be a part of it. It’s a small operation, really. Just a few of us sitting around a couple of desks, trying to coordinate logistics and make sure the materials get to where they need to go. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and other times it's oddly quiet. We don't have any fancy mission statements or posters on the walls. Mostly just calendars and some old photos of projects we’ve helped with over the years. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day to keep ourselves going. The road outside is always being repaired, which is ironic given what we do. We’ve had to learn everything the hard way, by making mistakes and fixing them as we go. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. If you drop by, you’ll probably find us arguing over a blueprint or a bill at the main table.
