Our office is at S-16/8 in the New Shoe Market, right across from St. Peter’s College in Sanjay Place. It’s a well-known spot in the district. Being in the shoe market means there’s always people moving around and plenty of noise from the street. Our space is pretty functional. We have a front area for meeting clients and a back room where we keep all the site plans and colony maps. As colonisers, we have a lot of large papers that need space to be rolled out. The walls are mostly covered with photos of different projects we’ve worked on over the years. It’s not a polished corporate office. The carpet is a bit worn in places and the chairs are just the basic kind you find in any local business. We spend a lot of our time coordinating with different associates and checking on progress at various sites. Sanjay Place is a busy hub, so there’s never a dull moment. We have people coming in all day with questions about land or development. We don't go for any big marketing speeches. We just explain what the situation is and let the work speak for itself. It’s a busy, somewhat messy office where things actually get done. We’ve been here a long time and the routine stays pretty much the same.
