Real Star Salon

Our salon is on Tanki Road in Block F of Kamla Nagar. Agra can be a very busy city, but Kamla Nagar has its own rhythm. We are quite close to the Chota Gurudwara, so it’s easy for people to explain where they are going. I’ve been working on Tanki Road for quite a while now. The shop is a straightforward place. We have the usual equipment, some mirrors, and a couple of benches for people to sit on while they wait. The floor is tiled, which helps keep things cool when the Agra heat hits. I usually start the day by checking the lights and making sure we have enough clean towels. It’s a lot of manual work. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks. People come in because they saw the sign or someone told them about us. Being near the Gurudwara is nice; it feels like a good spot to be. There’s a lot of foot traffic on this road. Sometimes the dust from the street gets in, so we are always cleaning. It’s just the way it is here. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in town, just a reliable one in 282004. Most of the people who come in are from the nearby houses in Block F. We know their stories and they know ours. It’s a community thing more than anything else.
