Muqaddas Builders &Contractor Privatelimited is out near Umri Chauraha in Umri Kalan. Specifically, we’re located at Kh.No 702, close to Village Dehra. It’s a rural setting, so we deal with a lot of village-level construction and contracting. You won't find any skyscrapers out here, just regular buildings and local infrastructure. Being near the chauraha means we see everyone passing through on their way to the next village. Our office is more like a storage shed for samples and a place to sit down when the sun gets too hot. We spend most of the day on the actual sites, making sure the foundations are dug right and the bricks are being laid properly. There’s a lot of dust and noise, but that’s part of being a builder. We have to deal with whatever the weather throws at us, whether it’s the heat or the monsoon rains. It’s a tough business and you have to be ready to solve problems on the fly. We don't use any fancy software to track everything; we mostly rely on old notebooks and talking to the workers face-to-face. The village of Dehra is a quiet place except for when we’ve got the machinery running. We’ve been working in this area for a while now and everyone knows who we are. We just focus on getting the work done so we can move on to the next one. It’s a simple way of life and we like it.
