If you head down Hathras Road and turn into Foundry Nagar, you will find us at C-67. It is an industrial area, so there is always a lot of smoke and the sound of hammers hitting metal. Minerva Diesel Engines (P) Ltd. is a bit of a mouthful, but we just call it the shop. We have been here a long time, and the walls are covered in black soot from the exhaust. Most of our days are spent taking apart engines that have seen too many miles. The floor is always slick with oil, no matter how much we try to saw-dust it. We usually have a few big blocks sitting on pallets near the door, waiting for parts to arrive. It gets incredibly hot under the corrugated roof during the summer months, so we keep a few noisy fans going, though they mostly just move the hot air around. We aren't big on paperwork or fancy meetings. Usually, we are just covered in grease up to our elbows. The traffic on the main road is constant, and the sound of trucks downshifting is the background music to our work. We know the other guys in the foundry lane, and we occasionally borrow tools from each other. It is heavy, tiring work, but it is what we know how to do. We just make sure the engines are put back together correctly so they can get back on the road safely.
