Lakshmikalash Navkrishak Farmers Producer Company Limited is a group we started here in Orangpur. We are based out of Megh Singh’s place, near Kagarol in the Kheragarh area. All of us involved are farmers from around here. We know the land and we know how hard it can be to get a fair price for what you grow. That’s why we teamed up. It’s not a corporate thing with a big headquarters. Our office is just a room at Megh Singh’s where we keep our files and meet up after work. Usually, we are out in the fields in Orangpur or checking on things in Kagarol. We don't have any polished speeches or marketing materials. We just talk about seeds, water, and the market. It’s a straightforward way to handle our business. We chose the name because it felt right for what we are trying to do as farmers coming together. Kheragarh has its own challenges, but we’ve lived here long enough to handle them. We are just trying to make sure that the people who actually do the planting and harvesting have a say in how things are run. It’s a lot of work, and we don't always get it perfect, but we are learning as we go. We are just local people trying to keep our farms running and our community strong. If you’re in the area, you’ll probably see us out working or heading over to Megh’s.
