Classic Mushroom

Our place is at F-1 in Tagore Nagar, which is part of the Dayal Bagh area. We grow mushrooms here. It’s a particular kind of work because mushrooms need specific conditions. We spend a lot of time in the dark, checking the beds. It’s humid and smells like earth, which is exactly how it should be. We aren't a big industrial facility. It’s more of a local operation. We started small and just kept going. Tagore Nagar is a nice area, and being in Dayal Bagh gives us a good spot in the community. We don't have a big sales team. Usually, it's just one of us handling the orders while the others are tending to the crop. Mushrooms grow fast, so there is always something to do. We pick them by hand and get them ready for whoever needs them that day. It's a bit of a messy job, but we don't mind the dirt. We aren't trying to win any awards. We just want to produce something decent that people like to eat. Our setup is simple. No fancy technology, just the right temperature and a lot of patience. If you're in the neighborhood, you might see us moving crates around. We’ve been here at F-1 for quite a while now. The humidity in the growing rooms is the most important thing. We check the meters constantly. It's a quiet sort of farming. No tractors or loud engines. Just the sound of the fans and us working.
