Chand Salon

Chand Salon is over at 23/2, Sikandar Road in the Sikandra area of Agra. We are located quite close to the Kargil Petrol Pump, which is a big landmark for anyone driving through here. Our shop is just a small, local place where we spend our days cutting hair and shaving beards. Agra is a city with a lot of tourists, but in this part of town, it’s mostly just the locals and people stopping for gas. We have a couple of chairs and a small bench for people to wait on. It’s a humble setup, nothing fancy. We try to keep the place clean, but with the dust from the road, it is a constant job. The mirrors have seen better days, and the floor is usually covered in hair by mid-afternoon. We open up early and stay open late because people around here work long hours. You can hear the cars and trucks zooming by on Sikandar Road all day long. We don't have a website or a big sign, just our name on the door. People come in, have a chat about the weather or the news, and then they are on their way. It’s just a simple, practical business. We’ve been here for a while and we plan on staying here, just doing what we know how to do. It isn't much, but it is our livelihood and we like it.
