Mahalaxmi Earthmovers

In Nirmal, at House Number 5-12 in Manjulapur, is where Mahalaxmi Earthmovers operates. We deal with the heavy machines that dig and move dirt for all sorts of projects around the district. Our yard is usually filled with backhoes or excavators that are either waiting for their next job or getting a bit of a tune-up. These machines go through a lot of wear and tear, so there is always a hydraulic hose to fix or a bucket that needs welding. It’s a rough and tumble kind of business. The guys here are good with their hands and know how to handle the big levers. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating where the machines need to go next. Sometimes they are out for weeks at a time on a big site, and other times they are back here for maintenance. The ground in the yard is packed hard from all the heavy tracks rolling over it. It’s not a fancy office job by any means. We are usually covered in some amount of grease or red soil by the time we head home. We just spend our time keeping the equipment in working order so the local builders and contractors can get their digging done. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living, and we’ve been doing it this way in Nirmal for quite some time now. We just take it day by day and keep the wheels turning.
