Anjal Cement Bricks

We are located at H. No. 3-58/2 in the village of Dimma. This is where we make our cement bricks. The work is almost entirely outdoors, which means we are always watching the sky. If it starts to rain, we have to hurry to cover up the bricks that are still drying or else the whole batch gets ruined. We mix the cement and sand by hand or use a small mechanical mixer, then we press the mixture into the molds. It is heavy work and your arms and back really feel it after a long day of lifting those heavy blocks onto the drying stacks. We have big piles of raw materials sitting around the yard and there is always a layer of grey dust on everything. It is a very simple process but you have to be careful with the proportions or the bricks won't be strong enough. Most of our customers are local people from the village who are building a new wall or a small house. They usually come by with their own tractors or carts to pick up their orders. We don't have a showroom or any office staff, just the space where we work and the finished stacks of bricks. It is a quiet life here in Dimma and we enjoy the rhythm of the work. Some days are long, but we just keep going until the yard is full.
