Devasi Marble & Granite

We've been here in the Ambaji Industrial Area for a while now. It's a busy spot, right near the Punjab National Bank. Most days, we’re just busy moving slabs around. You can hear the sounds of the yard from down the road. It gets dusty, but that’s just how it is with marble and granite. We keep a lot of stock out back. People stop by when they’re looking for stone for their kitchens or floors. We don’t have a fancy office or anything. It’s just us working with the stone. Sometimes the trucks block the entrance, and we have to move things around to let people in. We see a lot of people coming from the bank or just driving through the industrial area. It’s not a quiet place, but we like it here. The sun hits the slabs in the morning and they look pretty good. We spend most of our time checking the edges and making sure everything is stacked right. If you come by, you’ll probably find someone out in the yard with a tape measure. It's hard work, lifting all that weight every day. My hands are always covered in stone dust by lunch. We just focus on getting the slabs ready for whoever needs them next. There isn't much to say other than we show up, do the work, and go home. The neighborhood is mostly other workshops and small factories, so it feels right for what we do.
