Soni Article And Marble is over at Plot No. G-175 in the RIICO Industrial Area. It’s a bit of a maze back here with all the different units, but we’ve been at this spot for a good bit now. We do a mix of things here, not just big slabs of stone. We have different articles and pieces that we work on. The industrial area is always noisy with machines running, and our place is no different. There is usually the sound of cutting or polishing happening somewhere in the back. It’s not a showroom where everything is shiny and perfect. It's a place where work actually happens. We have the raw marble coming in and then we figure out what to do with it. Some pieces get turned into smaller items, and some stay as big pieces for building. The dust gets on your clothes and stays there, no matter how much you brush it off. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the stone that arrives. If the grain isn't right, we have to figure out a different use for it. Most of the people who come to see us are contractors or folks who know their way around the RIICO area. It’s a practical business. We focus on getting the work done and making sure the pieces are ready when we said they would be. It’s a lot of manual labor, but seeing a finished article come out of a rough block is alright. It takes time but it is worth it.
