Rathore Stone

We are based in Manpur, right near the old Kailash Cinema. Most people in the area know the landmark. It’s a good spot here in Abu Road. We have been working out of this yard for years. We handle different kinds of stone. Some of it is local, some comes from further out in Sirohi. It’s a lot of heavy lifting. My hands are usually covered in dust by noon. We don’t do any fancy advertising. People just stop by because they saw the sign or heard we had some stock. The yard gets pretty crowded when a new shipment arrives. We have to shuffle things around to make room. It’s not always organized perfectly, but we know where everything is. Sometimes the stone has natural marks that people ask about. We just explain that’s how it comes out of the ground. We spend a lot of time on the phone with drivers. Trucks come in at odd hours sometimes. We just live and work here. It’s a practical business. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few of us who know the trade. If you come by, you’ll likely see us moving slabs or checking the edges. We just keep at it every day. The cinema being close by helps people find us easily. The dust from the stone gets into everything, even our tea. But that’s just part of being near Abu Road. We take pride in just knowing our inventory.
