Dakshingopinathpur is where we do most of our things. It is a quiet place in South 24 Parganas, and out here, we focus on the land. The women in our group came together because we all live close by and wanted to handle our own farming work instead of letting others do it for us. We spend a lot of time in the fields. It’s not always easy when the weather gets bad or the rain doesn’t come on time, but that is just how farming is. We have our small office in Rangilabad near the Usthi area. People know us around here as the group that gets things done. We don't have a big fancy building or anything like that. It’s just us working with what we have. Sometimes we are busy with seeds and other times we are looking at the harvest. The work keeps us busy all through the year. Being part of Sarbojonin Women Agro Producer Company Limited means we share the load. We aren't trying to be some big city corporation. We just want to make sure the crops are good and the families here have what they need from the ground. It’s a lot of manual work and talking to the neighbors about the soil.
