Maa Narayani Women Agro Producer Company Limited is situated in Vill- Jagannath Chak. We get our mail at the Madhusudan Chak post office and we are under the Raidighi police station in South 24 Parganas. This is a place where the women do a lot of the heavy lifting when it comes to the agro work. We don't have a big staff of experts. It is just us, the local women from Jagannath Chak. We spend our days checking on the crops and making sure the supplies are coming in right. It is a bit out of the way, near the coastal areas, so the air is always a bit salty. We started this company to help ourselves get better results from our farming. It’s not some big polished entity. Most days the floor is a bit dirty from the boots and there is always someone coming in to ask a question or share some news. We don't have a big sign or anything. We just know which house is the one where we meet up. Life in South 24 Parganas is tied to the land and the water, and our company is no different. We deal with what we have and don't make a big fuss about it. We’re not looking to be the biggest company, just a reliable one for the people here. It's just simple work by simple people. We keep going day by day, rain or shine.
