Beethi Women Agro Producer Company Limited

We are based out in Rajnagar, which is a small village in the Namkhana area of South 24 Parganas. Most of the women here have been involved with farming for a long time. The office is right in the village, near the Po- Rajnagar Biswambharps. It gets really dusty in the summer and the roads are not always the easiest to travel on, especially during the monsoon when it pours down. We spend our days dealing with different agricultural produce. It is mostly local stuff that grows well in this soil. Sometimes the crops don’t do as well as we hope, but that is just how it goes with farming. We handle the sorting and the paperwork that comes with being a producer company. It is mostly just us sitting around a wooden table, trying to figure out the logistics for the next batch of seeds or crops. People from the village drop by often to talk about the weather or the price of grains. It is a quiet life for the most part, except when we are busy with a big harvest. We don't have a big fancy setup, just a basic room with some chairs and a few ledgers. The goal is just to keep things moving for the local farmers who are part of this group. We try to stay organized, but sometimes the power goes out and we have to finish things by candlelight. It is just real work done by real people in a small corner of the world.
