Mathurapur Nabaday Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Dilip Ku Purkait’s place in Dakshinjaykrishnapur. We are down in the Nandakumarpur area. If you are looking for us, you won't find a big sign or a glass office building. It is just a local setup where we gather to manage our farming business. We are a group of farmers who realized that working together is better than trying to do everything alone. It’s pretty quiet out here most of the time, except when we have our meetings. Then it gets quite loud with everyone talking at once. We don’t have a professional secretary or anything. We handle the paperwork ourselves, which can be a bit of a headache. The office is basically a room with some old chairs and a table covered in notebooks. We focus on our crops and how to sell them for a decent price. It’s a lot of hard work and we get our hands dirty every day. We aren't interested in sounding corporate or fancy. We are just people from the village trying to make things a bit easier for our families. Sometimes the tea runs out and the power goes off, but we just keep going. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We know everyone in the neighborhood and they know us. That’s how we like to keep it. It is just local people helping each other.
