Falta Women Farmers Producer Company

We are the Falta Women Farmers Producer Company, and you can find us in Budhagram. Our post office is Gopalpurhat and we are part of the Falta block in the South 24 Parganas district. This area is full of green fields and hard-working people. As women farmers, we have always been the backbone of the work here, even if people didn't always see it. We started this company to bring our efforts together. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we enjoy being in charge of our own work. We meet up in Budhagram to discuss what seeds we need and how we are going to get our produce to the market. The roads around here can be a bit rough, but we are used to traveling back and forth. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture or a big sign. Most of our work happens right out in the sun. We share our knowledge about the soil and the pests that bother the plants. It’s a community thing as much as a business thing. We want our children to see that we can run a company just as well as anyone else. We don't use a lot of big marketing talk because the way our vegetables grow speaks for itself. We are just real people working hard in the dirt every single day to make things happen for our village.
