Arun Tent House

We are located at No. 1259 on Hennur Main Road. It’s right in Kacharkana Halli, and if you look across the street, you’ll see the India Campus Crusade. It’s a very busy stretch of road, so there’s always the sound of horns and engines. Our place is basically a big storehouse for Arun Tent House, where we keep tents, metal poles, and stacks of plastic chairs. It’s not a clean or quiet job. We spend a lot of time loading stuff onto the back of small trucks. The fabric for the tents takes up a lot of room and it’s heavy to move around. The floor is just rough concrete and it gets quite dirty with all the boots walking in and out. We have a small desk near the entrance where we keep the ledger and the phone. It’s usually covered in bits of rope or nails. We don’t have an air conditioner, just a couple of big pedestal fans that make a lot of noise. People stop by to ask about renting things for weddings or local fairs. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. Some days we are out on the road more than we are in the office. It’s a lot of physical work, but we are used to it by now. The neighborhood is lively, and there is always something happening right outside our gates. We just try to stay organized.
