If you ever find yourself wandering around Phase-4 in GIDC, Vatva, you’ll find us at Plot No. 4910 and 4911. We occupy two plots because we needed the extra space for all the scrap and the bigger projects we take on. Being Fab Engineers means we spend a lot of time around metal, welding sparks, and the smell of cut steel. It isn't the cleanest job in the world, but it’s what we know how to do. The guys on the shop floor have been doing this for a long time, and they can tell if a machine is acting up just by the sound it makes. We don’t have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. Usually, it’s just us answering the phone and writing things down in a ledger. The summer heat in Ahmedabad makes the workshop feel like an oven sometimes, so we go through a lot of water and cold tea. There’s a certain rhythm to the work here that feels right. We don’t make a big fuss about things. If a job comes in, we look at the specs and get to work. It’s about being practical and making sure the pieces fit like they’re supposed to. We’ve had some good years and some tough ones too, but the gates stay open and the work keeps coming in. It is just a normal engineering life for us.
