Our group is called Sri Lakshmi Veeraballi Mango Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are located at 3-46 in Gurrappagaripalligurrappagaripalli, which is a bit of a mouthful to say, but that is where we are in Cuddapa Dist. As you can probably tell from our name, we are all about mangoes. This part of the country grows some really good fruit, and the farmers here decided it was time to work together. We set up our main point of contact at house number 3-46 so we have a place to meet and organize everything. Growing mangoes isn't as easy as it looks. You have to worry about the seasons, the pests, and then trying to sell them for a price that actually pays the bills. By being a producer company, we can help each other with those things. Most of us have been growing fruit in Cuddapa for our whole lives. We aren't fancy business people. We are just folks who know how to take care of mango trees and want to make sure our community stays strong. When harvest time comes, things get very busy around here. We spend a lot of time talking to each other about the quality of the fruit and how the trees are doing. It's a simple life, mostly focused on the orchards and making sure we can keep doing what we do for a long time.
