We are located at 4-230 in Venkateswara Nagar, which is where Kissan Kranthi Farmers Producer Company Limited runs things from. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular building where some of us local farmers get together to figure out the season. Most days, you’ll find a few people sitting around talking about the rain or the price of seeds. We started this because doing everything alone was getting too hard for most of the families around here. Venkateswara Nagar is usually pretty quiet, but during harvest time, the street gets a bit more crowded with tractors and people moving bags around. The office inside is simple, with just a couple of desks and some chairs that have seen better days. We spend a lot of our time out in the fields anyway, so the building is mostly for keeping the records straight and holding small meetings when we need to decide on something. Sometimes the fans don't work right when it’s hot, but we manage. It’s mostly just us trying to make the farming life a little more manageable by pooling what we have. We don't have any big marketing team or anything like that. It is just a bunch of neighbors working on the same goal. If you walk by, you might see us loading up a truck or just leaning against the wall talking. It’s a basic operation but it keeps us busy every single day of the week.
