K.S. Engineering Works

K.S. Engineering Works is situated on Khalsa College Road, right across from the Khalsa School Gate. It’s a noisy place, mostly because we’re usually cutting metal or running some kind of machine. If you’re looking for us, you’ll probably hear us before you see us. We’ve been at this spot for a long time, and the neighborhood knows us as the guys who fix and make things. The shop is filled with tools, grease, and bits of scrap, which is pretty much what you’d expect from an engineering workshop. We don’t have a fancy office to sit in; we’re usually out on the floor getting our hands dirty. It’s hard work, and the heat from the welding can be a bit much in the summer, but it’s what we do. We take on all sorts of jobs, from small repairs to bigger fabrication tasks. There isn't much of a routine here; every day brings something different that needs fixing or building. We don't spend money on advertising; people usually find us because they saw the sign while dropping their kids off at the school. We just focus on getting the measurements right and making sure the welds hold. It’s honest, physical work, and it's good to see a finished piece leave the shop. We’re just local people doing a job we understand well. There's usually someone around if you stop by during the day, even if we are busy with a lathe.
