Bhogal Engg. Works

We are situated right on Radaur Road, very close to Vishwakarma Chowk. If you know where Vishwakarma Mandir is, you basically know where we are. Bhogal Engg. Works is a busy place, usually filled with the sound of machinery and clanging metal. It’s been our home in the Camp area for quite a while now. The workshop floor is always covered in shavings and bits of steel from whatever project we are currently tackling. It’s a dusty environment, but that’s just how engineering shops go. We don’t spend much on aesthetics. The focus is always on the machines and getting the measurements right. Most of the guys here have been working together for years, so we have a rhythm. We see a lot of regulars who drop in because they know we are usually around during the day. The traffic around the chowk can be a nightmare in the evenings, but it's quiet enough in the early morning. Being near the mandir means we hear the bells and the prayers sometimes, which provides a bit of contrast to the noise of the grinders. We keep the doors open most of the time to let the air circulate. It gets hot in the summer, but we just drink plenty of water and keep moving. It’s a practical life, working with our hands and making sure the parts fit. No big corporate talk here, just work. We just keep our heads down and finish the work.
