Nandan

Nandan is located up on the second floor of ML Plaza. You can find us on Mantri Bari Road in Agartala. This part of town is usually buzzing because Big Bazar is right here. People come for shopping and then they end up walking past our building. Being on the second floor means we are a bit away from the direct dust of the street, but you can still hear the honking and the people below. Agartala has changed a lot, but Mantri Bari Road stays pretty constant with its crowds. We have a simple setup inside ML Plaza. We don't have fancy signs or big flashing lights. Most people who come to us are locals or people who have been told where we are by a friend. We spend our time managing the space and talking to the people who walk through the door. The second floor can feel a bit quiet when the market is slow, but that doesn't happen often. We have to keep the hallways clear and make sure the place looks decent for everyone. It is just a regular local business. We don't have a fancy story about why we are here. We just opened up in the plaza and have been working every day since. It is honest work and we know most of the other shop owners around here. Sometimes we all grab tea together when the power goes out or when the rain gets too heavy for customers to come out.
