CHA Borok Restaurant

We are over in Agartala, specifically on Thakurpallib Road in Krishnanagar. The easiest way to find us is to look for the Satsanga Ashram, because we are right near there. Our restaurant is a local spot where we serve food that we grew up with in this region. It’s not a big corporate operation, just a kitchen and a dining area where we host people from the neighborhood. The road outside gets a bit dusty during the dry season, and things can be quiet or loud depending on what is happening at the Ashram. We have a few staff members who help with the cooking and the daily cleaning. We spend a lot of time in the back getting ingredients ready and chopping vegetables. People come here when they want a meal that feels like it was made at home. We don’t have fancy decorations on the walls, just the essentials like fans and lights. It’s a place for the community to come and eat without spending too much of their money. Sometimes the power goes out or deliveries get delayed, but we just keep going. It’s a real part of life here in Krishnanagar. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words or shiny menus. We just cook and serve. If you’re walking past the Ashram, you’ll see our door open. We’re usually around from the morning until the evening, every day of the week.
