A.C.C Cement

Working at A.C.C Cement here in Jhinkpani is a unique experience. Our office address is A.C.C Colony (Mansrover), specifically Quarter Number S.R.T-145. This is out in the West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand. The colony is a whole world of its own, built around the cement works. Everyone living here is pretty much connected to the plant in one way or another. My desk is in one of the rooms of the S.R.T quarters. It’s a very industrial setting, so you get used to the sounds and the dust that comes with cement production. The pin code is 833215 if anyone needs to send us mail, though the post takes its time getting here. We spend our days tracking production loads and keeping an eye on the supply lines. It’s a very practical life. There aren't many big shops around, so we rely on the local market in the colony. The weather can be quite harsh, either very dusty or very muddy when it rains. We have a small team here, and we just focus on the daily tasks that need doing. It’s not a fancy corporate office with glass walls; it's a solid brick building that has seen many years of service. We just keep the records straight and make sure the operations continue without any major hiccups.
