Sri D.N.R. Govt. Degree College For Woman is in Palakollu, over in the West Godavari district. Being a government college, we follow the usual rules and schedules that are set for us. It’s a place for women in this part of the district to get their degrees without having to travel too far to the big cities like Hyderabad or Vizag. The campus is pretty standard for a government building. We have the usual office for administration and then the various lecture halls for the different subjects. It can get quite hot in the afternoons, but we have fans in most of the rooms to help out. The students come from all the nearby villages and the town itself. We don't have a lot of extra money for fancy things, so we just stick to the basics of education. The staff is busy with a lot of paperwork most days. You’ll see students sitting under the trees during their breaks between classes. It’s a fairly quiet place overall. We don't put up big advertisements. People know us because we are the local option for higher studies. It’s just a regular part of the community here in Palakol, helping people get through their exams and move on with their careers. We don’t have much in the way of extras, but the education is what matters most to the students who attend here.
