Narayana E-Techno School

Over here on Dabala Street, things start pretty early. You can see the Gayatri Power Plant right next to us, and it’s just part of the backdrop for our school day. Narayana E-Techno School is right in the middle of it all in Kovvur. Every morning, the kids arrive with their bags half-zipped, and you hear the shuffling of feet on the ground. West Godavari gets quite warm, so we’re always making sure the fans are going. It’s not a fancy setup, just a place where teachers are busy with their lesson plans and students are trying to finish their math before the bell. Sometimes the power plant makes a bit of noise, but we’re used to it by now. The hallways get a bit crowded during the lunch break when everyone is opening their tiffins. You smell the pickles and rice from all the different houses. We spend a lot of time just keeping things moving along. There’s always someone running late or a teacher looking for a piece of chalk that went missing. By the time the afternoon sun starts to lean into the classrooms, everyone is getting a bit tired and ready to head home. It’s just how life goes here in this corner of Kovvur. We keep the gates open until the last bus leaves, then it’s quiet until the next morning when the whole thing starts over again.
