If you live near the Rama Laxhmana Theater Junction on Peddapadu Road, you’ve probably walked past our doors. We are at D.No.2-46 and have been serving this neighborhood for a while now. It’s a busy corner, especially when a new movie is playing at the theater. People come in to grab snacks or drinks before they go in. But mostly, we are a place for the local housewives and workers to get their daily groceries. We stock the usual things like rice, pulses, soaps, and cleaning supplies. The shelves are a bit crowded because we try to fit in as much as we can. It’s not like those big fancy malls in the city. Here, we know most of the customers by their names. Sometimes they forget their wallet and we let them pay the next day. It’s that kind of place. Mornings are the busiest when the fresh milk and bread arrive. We have a couple of boys who help with the billing and stocking. Occasionally, a crate of eggs might break or a bag of sugar might leak, and we have to clean it up quickly. It’s just a small local supermarket trying to keep the pantry items ready for the folks nearby. We don't have any big sales or gimmicks. We just open the shutters early and stay until the theater crowd thins out at night. It’s a simple life behind the counter.
