Vishwakarma Engineering Works

You will find us at A/3, D.S.I.D.C Shed in Madipur, which is right near Paschim Puri Pocket-3. It’s an industrial shed, so it’s exactly what you would expect from an engineering workshop. The ceilings are high, the floor is concrete, and there is grease on just about everything. Vishwakarma Engineering Works has been in this particular shed for quite a while now. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room with magazines. If you come by, you’ll probably find the owner with his sleeves rolled up, right there with the workers. The sound of grinders and lathes is pretty much constant from morning until evening. It’s a dusty place because of all the metalwork, and we don’t spend much time cleaning up for show. We have some heavy machinery that takes up a lot of the floor space, and we’ve learned how to move around it without thinking. The lunch break is usually just a quick sit-down on whatever stools are available. We know the other guys in the D.S.I.D.C complex, and there’s a bit of a community feel among the different workshops here. We focus on the machines and the metal. It’s hard work, and it’s often hot inside the shed, but it is what we know how to do. We just keep our heads down and get the parts finished.
