Yashika Engineering

You can find Yashika Engineering over at D 38 in Bharat Vihar, which is part of the Rajapuri area in Dwarka. It’s a residential and commercial mix around here, so you see all sorts of people passing by. Our building is a bit tucked away, but once you see the sign for Bharat Vihar, you’re pretty much there. We have a modest space. It’s filled with the smell of metal and the sound of tools hitting surfaces. It’s not the quietest place to spend an afternoon, but that’s the nature of engineering. The shop floor is usually covered in a bit of shavings or grease, and we don’t always get around to sweeping it until the end of the week. There’s a small desk in the corner where we keep the ledger and handle the phone calls. We aren’t really into the corporate look. Our clothes usually have a few stains on them by lunch, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. Dwarka is a big place, but Rajapuri has its own local feel that we like. We’ve been at D 38 for a while, and the neighbors are used to the noise we make. We just come in, do what’s required, and head home when the sun goes down. It is a simple life, but the work is steady and it keeps us busy enough throughout the year. We just try to get the jobs done without any unnecessary fuss.
