We're down in Basement 4 of Gopal Tower, specifically at CB-8. Rajendra Place is a busy area, but once you get down here, it’s quite a different world. Being near Kalndi College means there are always students around, but we stay focused on our industrial work. It’s not the easiest place to find if you’re just wandering around, but we’ve been here for years, so people who need us usually find their way. The basement gets a bit chilly in the winter and stays pretty damp, but it suits what we do at Valco Industries Ltd. We aren't sitting in a glass office with a view. We’re surrounded by parts and boxes. Most days involve checking inventory and making sure orders are ready for pickup. It's a bit of a squeeze when a big shipment comes in, as the hallways are narrow. We don't have a receptionist or anything fancy like that. If you walk in, you'll probably just see one of us at a desk or moving stuff around. We just get on with it. Sometimes the elevator in Gopal Tower is out of service, so we end up taking the stairs a lot. It keeps us fit, I suppose. We know the other folks in the building well. It’s a local community of businesses down here. We don’t do big ads. We just handle the industrial side of things for the people who know us. It’s practical, honest work and we’ve been doing it this way for a long time now.
