Satkartar Milk

Our shop, Satkartar Milk, is at Shop No 10 in the Club Road Market, which is part of Plot No 1 A/83 in Punjabi Bagh. We start our days very early, usually while most of the city is still sleeping. Being in the milk business means you have to be ready when the delivery trucks arrive in the pre-dawn hours. The market is quiet then, which is a nice change from how busy it gets later on. Our shop is small and kept as clean as we can manage with all the crates moving in and out. We don't have much in the way of decoration, just the refrigerators and the counter where we handle the sales. Punjabi Bagh is a nice area, and we see a lot of the same faces every single morning. Some people have been buying their milk from us for years, and we know exactly what they need before they even ask. It’s a very repetitive job, but there is something good about the routine. By the time the sun is high, most of our heavy work is done, though we stay open for the neighborhood. We don't use any fancy sales talk or posters. It’s just milk and a few other dairy items on the shelves. It’s an honest way to make a living, and we just focus on keeping the stock fresh and the customers satisfied.
