Kap Cones

We are situated in Phase-I of the Mayapuri Industrial Area, specifically at A-31/4. If you know Mayapuri, you know it’s a busy, gritty place where everyone is making something. Kap Cones has been part of this landscape for quite some time now. We make the cones that people use for ice cream, and it’s a lot more work than it looks. The machines are old but they run well if you know how to talk to them. It gets very hot near the ovens, so we have big fans going all day long. The sound of the metal and the clicking of the belts is the background music to our lives. We don't have fancy carpets or air-conditioned offices. Our office is just a small room with a window looking out onto the floor so we can keep an eye on the stackers. We get a lot of trucks coming in for pickups, and the lane gets blocked sometimes, which leads to a lot of shouting and horn honking. That’s just life in Mayapuri. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We make cones, we pack them in big boxes, and we send them out. The recipes haven't changed in years because why fix something that isn't broken? We hire people from the neighborhood who aren't afraid of a little sweat. It’s a straightforward business and we plan to keep it that way for as long as we can.
