Salt Ice Cream

If you are ever near the Tilak Pul Bus Stand in Uttam Nagar, you will find Salt Ice Cream right there near the Tilak Pul area. It is a very busy spot because of all the people waiting for their buses or walking to the metro. We get a lot of commuters who are in a hurry, so we try to be quick when they ask for something. The noise from the buses and the horns can be quite loud all day long, but you get used to it after a week or two. Our shop isn't very large, but we pack a lot into it. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass and making sure the floors aren't slippery. It’s just a regular local business run by people who live around here. We don't do any big promotions or anything like that. We just show up, open the doors, and start serving. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the traffic on the bridge, which can be frustrating, but we manage. We’ve had this spot for a while and we know most of the other shopkeepers around the bus stand. It’s a good place to be if you like seeing different people every day. We just try to keep the ice cream cold and the customers from having to wait too long in the sun. It's just a job like any other and it keeps us going throughout the month.
