Oshi Foods

You can find Oshi Foods over at the West Gate Mall in Rajouri Garden. We are specifically on the first floor in the Shivaji Place District Centre area. Being in a mall means there’s always music playing from the speakers and people walking around with shopping bags. It’s a lot different from a street-side shop. We have a kitchen area and a few spots for people to stand and eat their food. It gets really crowded on Saturdays and Sundays. Sometimes we run out of napkins or the soda machine acts up, but we try to fix it as fast as we can. Our staff is mostly young kids from the neighborhood who are working while they study. We handle a lot of orders every hour when the movie theater lets out. The mall environment is fast, so we are always moving and cleaning up. We don't do anything fancy with the food presentation, just focus on getting it cooked and handed over. Rajouri Garden is a busy place, and the West Gate Mall is right in the middle of all the noise. We’ve been here for some time now. It’s hard work being on your feet all day, especially when the mall air conditioning is too cold or not working at all. We just keep the kitchen going and try to keep up with the lunch rush every afternoon. It’s a lot of pressure but we manage. Most of our customers are just people taking a break from their shopping in Shivaji Place.
