Mukul Salt Company

Mukul Salt Company is based out of house B-17 on Rajpath in Nangloi. We aren't on the main road, but we are quite close to the Reliance Fresh, so most people use that to find their way to us. Operating a salt business from a house might seem a bit unusual to some, but it works for us. We use the front area for our office work and the back space is where we keep the stock. Since we deal with salt, we have to be really careful about moisture, so we’ve done some work on the walls to keep things dry. Nangloi is a busy area, but our street is a little bit quieter than the main market. We’ve been living and working in this house for a long time. My wife handles a lot of the bookkeeping while I take care of the logistics and talking to the drivers. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time turning around in the narrow street, but we’ve all gotten used to the dance they have to do. We don’t have a big fancy sign, just a small one near the gate so people know they’re at the right place. It’s a family-run thing, and we take it one day at a time without much fuss. We mostly just focus on getting our shipments out on time and keeping the books straight.
