Mekanzler Foods Private Ltd. is tucked away at 6 Community Centre in Mayapuri Phase I. If you’ve ever walked around Mayapuri, you know how busy it gets with all the vehicles and people moving around. Our place is usually filled with the smell of whatever food items we are processing or packing that day. It gets quite loud with the crates being stacked and the sealing machines running. We have a small team here who mostly just focus on getting the inventory sorted. Sometimes the boxes are piled so high you can barely see the back wall. We aren't a big corporation with shiny lobbies; it's mostly just a lot of practical work and making sure the labels are on straight. The office part is small, just a couple of desks and a phone that doesn't stop ringing. Most of us bring lunch from home and we take turns sitting on the few chairs we have in the break area. It’s a lot of manual work, moving stuff from the production area to the dispatch gate. The weather in Delhi makes it tough in the peak of summer, especially when the fans just move the hot air around. But we've got a rhythm down now. We just come in, do the work, and head home when the sun starts to go down. It’s a simple operation really, nothing too complicated about it at all.
