Madhok Engineering Works

We spend most of our days here at S 44 Mayapuri Industrial Area, right in the middle of Janta Market. It gets pretty loud around here with all the machines running constantly. Madhok Engineering Works is basically just us working with metal and parts all day long. Sometimes the floor is a bit oily and there is a lot of dust from the grinding, but that is how a workshop usually looks. We have been in Mayapuri for quite a while now. Most people know us because we are close to the main market area. It is not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a place where we get the work done. If you walk in, you will see lathes and some other heavy equipment. We usually start early in the morning before the heat gets too bad in the shed. There are a few of us here who have been working together for years. We handle all sorts of engineering jobs that people bring in. It's a busy spot and the traffic in Janta Market can be a real headache when trucks are trying to unload. We just keep our heads down and focus on what is on the workbench. It is honest work and we try to keep things moving. Sometimes we take a break for tea at the corner stall. That is basically the life here. The machines make a specific rhythm you get used to. We keep some spare parts stacked in the corners. The summers are tough because the metal gets hot.
