Our workshop is on the 2nd floor over in the Rama Road Industrial Area. It’s 54/A-9, right near Moti Nagar, so the traffic getting here in the mornings can be a real pain. Once you get up the stairs, it’s a different world. We have rows of machines and people busy with all the small details that go onto clothes. Since we’re on the second floor, we have to carry everything up and down, which keeps us in shape, I guess. It’s an old building, so the floors are a bit uneven and the windows rattle when the big trucks go by on the road outside. We handle a lot of different fashion accessories, and sometimes the place looks like a rainbow because of all the different colored beads and threads. We don't have a lot of space, so we have to be smart about where we stack the crates. Usually, the main workspace is pretty crowded. We have a small corner for the office stuff, but even there, you’ll find boxes of samples sitting on the chairs. It’s a busy environment and it can get quite loud with all the machines running at once. We don't really worry about making the place look polished. As long as the work gets done and the orders go out on time, we’re happy. It’s a tough business, but we’ve been in this spot for a while now and we know the rhythms of the industrial area pretty well most days.
