Kalsi Engineering Co is located at C 64 in the Mayapuri Industrial Area, Phase II. Being in an industrial area means it is never quiet. There is always the sound of metal hitting metal or machines humming in the background. We have been operating out of this unit for quite some time now. Our workspace is filled with tools, parts, and the smell of oil and grease. It is the kind of place where you don't want to wear your nice clothes because they will definitely get ruined. We do a lot of technical work, fixing things or making parts that other businesses need to keep their own machines running. It requires a lot of patience and looking closely at small details. Sometimes we are working on one specific piece for hours just to get it right. It’s a lot of manual labor and standing at benches. People in Mayapuri know us as just another one of the shops in Phase II. We don't have a front desk or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in the back with our sleeves rolled up. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of environment. We just focus on the job at hand and try to get the engineering work done properly so it lasts. It’s hard work, but there is a certain rhythm to the noise and we’ve gotten used to it.
