Jani Engg

Jani Engg is right here in Tihar Village, located at Wz296. It’s a crowded part of New Delhi, but it’s where we’ve always been. The shop floor is usually a bit messy with metal scraps and tools lying around. We do engineering work, which means a lot of noise and heavy lifting most days. It’s not the kind of place you’d wear a nice shirt to. We’ve got machines that have been with us for years and they still run fine if you know how to treat them. The neighborhood knows us as the guys who are always working late under the lights. It gets hot in the summer, especially with the machines running, but we have a couple of big fans that do the trick. We don’t have a website or anything like that; people usually just find us by walking through the village or asking around. We’ve lived in Delhi all our lives and this shop is a big part of that. There’s always someone dropping by for a chat or to ask if we can fix something small. We don’t mind helping out when we can. It’s just how things work in this part of town. We take the jobs as they come and try to finish them without any drama. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till night. We just keep the doors open and get to work.
