Gopal Jee Dairy

Gopal Jee Dairy is located at Shop No C/235 in Sector 10. Our day starts much earlier than most people's, usually well before the sun comes up when the milk trucks arrive. We have to get everything unloaded and ready before the morning rush of people looking for milk for their tea. The shop is small and stays quite cool because of the large refrigerators we have running all the time. We sell the usual things like curd, paneer, and butter, and we try to keep everything as fresh as we can. The floor is made of stone and we are constantly washing it down to keep things clean, so it’s often a bit wet. We don't have a lot of space for people to hang around, so it’s a quick in-and-out kind of place. Most of our customers are neighbors who have been coming to us for years. We know who wants the thick curd and who likes their milk in the half-liter packets. Sometimes the delivery is late because of fog in the winter, and we have to tell the waiting crowd to be patient. It can be stressful when everyone is in a hurry to get to work or school. We don't do any big advertising; the white sign outside is enough for people to know we are here. It’s a simple business built on early mornings and cold storage.
