G. G. Industries (India)

Our place, G. G. Industries (India), is up on the third floor of H-139 in Safdarjung Enclave, specifically in the Mohammadpur area. Being on the third floor means we have a bit of a view of the street, though mostly we are looking at the roofs of other buildings. It’s a busy part of Delhi, and finding a parking spot near the building is almost impossible most days. We do a lot of small-scale manufacturing and assembly here. The workspace is filled with benches and various tools that we use for our daily production. It can get pretty warm in the afternoons, especially since we are higher up in the building. We try to keep things moving along, but sometimes parts are late or a machine needs fixing, which slows everything down. The team here is small, so everyone knows how to do a bit of everything. We aren't some big corporate factory with uniforms; we just wear what’s comfortable and get to work. Mohammadpur has a lot of energy, and there are plenty of places to grab a quick bite to eat during the lunch break. We spend most of our time focused on the assembly lines and making sure the counts are right. It’s steady work that keeps us busy from morning until evening. We’ve been in this building for several years now and have gotten used to the creaks in the floor and the sound of the city outside.
