G. Dass Enterprises

G. Dass Enterprises is located at L-19 in Udyog Nagar. This is an industrial area, so it’s always got that smell of oil and burnt metal in the air. Our unit is one of the smaller ones, but we make good use of the space we have. It’s mostly filled with machines and raw materials stacked up against the walls. The floor is made of hard concrete, and it’s seen a lot of wear over the years. We don't have a fancy office upstairs; we just have a small desk tucked into a corner where we keep the books. Most of our day is spent out on the floor, making sure everything is running like it should. It’s noisy and it gets pretty hot during the summer months. We keep the big metal doors open to catch whatever breeze we can. The workers here have been with us for a long time, so we’re like a small family. We know who takes their tea with extra sugar and who likes to complain about the heat. We don't bother with marketing or big advertisements. Our name is on the door, and people in Udyog Nagar know we’re here. It’s hard work, and your hands are rarely clean, but there’s something good about finishing a job and seeing the parts ready to go out. We close up when the sun goes down and the streetlights in the industrial park start to flicker on.
