Designer

Our shop is located at 545, Baba Haridas Nagar, right near the Tikari Border. If you know the New Delhi 110041 area, you know the traffic can be a bit of a nightmare around here. We have been operating out of this space for some time now. It is a simple setup under the name Designer, though we probably should have picked something more specific. The walls are covered in sketches and there is always a layer of dust from the road outside, no matter how much we clean. It is a family-run kind of vibe, where everyone just chips in. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers and trying to figure out why the deliveries are late again. It is not a polished showroom where everything is perfect. It is a working space where we actually get our hands dirty. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to say hello or ask for a tool. We like being part of the community here near the border. It is a practical place for practical work. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who know what we are doing. We usually eat lunch together at the back desk and talk about anything except work. It is a modest business, and we are quite okay with that. We just focus on the projects in front of us one day at a time.
