D Suresh Fruit Agent

We are located at Sun House, which is Plot No. 4 in the C-Block Community Center of Janakpuri. It is quite close to the old Janak Cinema, which most people use as a landmark to find us. Being a fruit agent means our days start much earlier than most people. We are often here while it is still dark out, getting things ready for the morning rush. The community center can be a bit quiet in the early hours, but it picks up quickly. Our space is filled with the smell of whatever fruit is in season right now. We handle a lot of crates and boxes every single day. It is physical work, moving things around and making sure the produce is handled right. D Suresh has been doing this for a long time. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning; it is more of a functional spot for business. You will see us talking to suppliers and local sellers all morning. There is a lot of shouting and haggling, which is just part of the trade. By the time most people are having their lunch, we have already done most of our heavy lifting. It is an honest way to make a living. We just focus on getting the fruit from the farms to the local markets around Janakpuri. It is a cycle that repeats every day and we are used to the rhythm of it now. We just do our work and head home.
